It's Just a Technicality Now!

"A dog has one aim in life... to bestow his heart." -J.R. Ackerly

Roadie

Roadie is a 2 year old bully breed mix. He bares the scars of a very hard existence before coming into rescue from an animal shelter. He has vision in one eye, and a rather unusual crooked tail from being broken.

Yet in spite of his history, he is a happy playful boy that likes nothing better than racing across the field with his foster brother in a game of chase. He also gets along well with his foster sister, a very "in-charge" girl who continually lets him know how he is to behave. While friendly to other dogs, Roadie is a little shy with new people and takes some time to warm up. But once he feels comfortable, he is very friendly and would really love to just curl up in your lap for lots of pets. (Although at 40 pounds he is a little big to be a lap puppy!)

Most of all, Roadie wants a forever home and a family to call his own. He needs a family who understand that it will take him a little time to adjust to new surroundings, and that with his vision impairment he will always probably be a little shy of new situations. (Although, in foster care he continues to gain confidence.) In return for the understanding, he offers lots of devotion and affection and not just a little entertainment for his family. Roadie is willing to share attention with other dogs, but prefers not to have cats in the pack. If you are looking to add a new family member and have the desire to share your home with a very special boy, Roadie may be a match for you! He is being fostered by Trula in Tallahassee, FL. [More]

Nola

Nola is estimated to be about 6 months old and at the moment weighs only 30 pounds. She was surrendered by her owners when the local animal control authorities discovered poor Nola was not being fed nor had she received any vetting. Despite the rough start, this sweet girl is just filled with wiggles and kisses for everyone!

She does have a mild case of demodex caused by the mal-nutrition and stress on her petite body. Demodex is an easily treatable skin condition with a daily dose of medication. She is now spayed and up-to-date on all vaccines. Please check back for more information and pictures of Nola! She is being fostered by Megan and Josh in Tallahassee, FL. [More]

Bodhi

Bodhi is a handsome brindle boy that came to us from a partner shelter. He is a typical energetic boxer pup about 1-2 years old. Bodhi listens very well to the basic commands and is a gentleman on a leash. He gets along great with other dogs and loves to play!

Bodhi does settle down when you tell him to and aims to please as we work on his house training skills. He is crate trained though, but at night he sleeps on his pillow on the floor with no issues. He actually sleeps the entire night and wakes up in the morning to go outside and then goes right back to bed without a peep! Please complete an online application if you are interested in adopting Bodhi. He is being fostered by the Lawrence family in Jacksonville, FL. [More]

Abbey Rose

Hi everybody out there! My name is Abbey Rose and I am between 1-2 years old they tell me. I am an "au natural" girl and you can see just how happy I am to have found my way into B.A.R.C. by the constant wagging of my gorgeous tail! I play well with others and am learning new things everyday.

I don't mind my crate, it is actually the first time I have ever had a "room" to call my own and I am quiet as a mouse in it too! I am having fun in my foster home, but I can't wait to have a family I can call my forever family. If you think this could be you, please fill out an application today to adopt me!! In the meantime, I'm going to work on figuring out what this thing they call a "pool" is that my foster brother seems to like so much. Abbey Rose is being fostered by Mark in Jacksonville, FL.
