Hi, Iím Merlin and Iíve been "downsized" from my original home. After four years, Iím reentering the tough forever-home market, but I know that Iíve got skills! I used to spend a lot of time outside, but know that when you are inside you donít go to the bathroom, only chew on my own toys, stay off of the furniture (but I would climb up if you left me out while gone) and donít argue about food with my foster brother. I love to play with people and am really happy around kids. I know to come when my name is called but I have no idea what the word 'come' means. Iíve been learning to sit and if somebody teaches me Iíll learn. I respond well to my foster dadís voice and looks (at least that is what he says). I don't bark just to hear myself and am friendly, but cautious, when people come to the door. Iím keeping a positive attitude as I look for a forever home and am not letting anything stop me. My foster dad says that I'm pretty smart, since I can open a door by myself - as long as it's got a lever handle that goes to the right! It's pretty cool that I can let my foster brother in the house if Dad's busy.
Merlin is 4 years old and is housebroken, crate trained, knows basic commands and walks well on a leash (maybe a little pulling when he starts out). He does well with other dogs (especially if they like to play) and doesn't bother cats. He is being fostered by Ross in High Springs, FL.
