Dexter is an extremely friendly 2 year old boy and we have no idea how he could have ever ended up in a night drop box at a local shelter. Thankfully, the nice people there saw how friendly and sweet he is and called B.A.R.C. for
help. Dexter really is just a happy-go-lucky boxer. He does have thetypical boxer energy and really enjoys playing. He loves playing with his
foster brother, Buster, or any member of the family. He is not picky. However, he is still learning how to not be too "energetic" with our 3
year old daughter. The good thing is that Dexter just wants to be happy and wants everyone to be happy, so he does try to listen...but giving her
kisses is sometimes just too tempting! So, he would need to be watched with smaller kids, as he is still trying to learn how show his affection
without overwhelming them.
Overall he has good manners, and we are working on housebreaking, crate-training and walking on a leash issues. He is currently scheduled to
start heartworm treatment on 11/30, which will bum him out because he will have only 2 good weeks that he can play with his foster brother in
the yard before he has to keep quiet again. We will give more updates as we get to know Dexter the next couple of weeks! He is being fostered by Joanne in Tallahassee, FL.
