Olive is one of the sweetest Boxers we've ever had the pleasure of knowing! With her beautiful dark brindle coat and white stockings, she's also a very pretty girl. Her ears and tail are clipped in classic Boxer style and she has a classic Boxer personality, wiggly and happy to be with her people. Olive is a calm, confident girl, who fit very easily into her foster home and gets along with people of all ages as well as other dogs. She seems able to get along with cats too.
Since Olive's been around (she is about 9 years old) she knows lots of great things, including sleeping in a crate, being housebroken, able to use a dog door, and walking well on a leash. She's a great example of what Cesar Millan might call a "well-balanced" dog, with a perfect blend of playful affection and tranquility.
If you'd like to start the New Year with a loving, well-trained companion who will give you the very best years she has, this is the girl for you. Get your application filled out fast - this sweetheart will win her way into a new home quickly!
Update from foster home:
Olive is a total sweetheart! She's an extremely well-mannered and mature girl. She never jumps on people, still hasn't barked, doesn't beg for food, doesn't try to get on the couch or bed - she's making all of our resident dogs look very bad! She's exactly what every Boxer should aspire to be in their golden years! She still wiggles and has fun, but mainly likes to cuddle on her bed (either alone or with another dog) or to be by your side for some hugs and pets. And we love petting her since she has by far the softest and fluffiest fur I've ever felt on a Boxer. And she's got a fat and fast-wiggling tail too. It's very funny to see!
We can tell you first hand that senior Boxers are simply the best! Not that we don't love puppies and young boxers, it's just that senior dogs manage to still have all the Boxer quirky-ness in a calmer, sweeter package. It's wonderful!
Olive has been checked out by the vet and is healthy and ready for adoption. She is fully house trained and has ZERO bad habits. She would be a great "starter" Boxer - especially if you love the breed but aren't ready for a high-energy, younger dog. She would do well in a home either alone or with other pets. She seems to be relaxed around all ages and types of animals. She's still got years of love to give, and, believe me, that's all she really would love to do - find a permanent home soon, and never have to be moved around again. Do you have room on your floor for Olive and her bed? Please complete an online application if you are interested in adopting Olive. She is being fostered by Dana.
