I was born on November 4, 2007 from my Mother Bunny, I had several sisters and brothers. We were saved by B.A.R.C. and found foster homes, eventually leading us to our homes forever. I am deaf and I was named Marley while being fostered by the Peacocks. I lived with them and my foster brother Levi while they taught me some of my basic signs.
When I came to my new home on May 9, 2008 my new family fell hard for me. I have a new pack member now his name is E.J. I am learning my place in the pack very fast. My new name is B.O.L.O., which means ďBe On The Look OutĒ. I am a very good boy and have my own swimming pool that I am still figuring out. Also two hand made beds to lay in whenever I want.
I have discovered the beanbag chair in the office where I lay when my Mom is on the computer.
I have my kennel in the master bedroom with my toys where I sleep through the whole night. My family takes me on walks and I have a new leash and harness. I am learning to wear the harness I really donít care for it too much, but my family feels better when I wear it. I donít go in the kennel with it on because my family doesnít feel comfortable. They always think about my safety, E.J. comes to check on me all of the time. Sometimes he wakes me from my naps to check on me. On my first night here I tested the waters and got on the bistro table in the kitchen to watch my family in the driveway. EJ barked and told on me heís always watching out for me. I think he likes me more than he thinks. He is very patient with me.
I am going to meet my new vet next week. The vet is very excited to meet me and have been made aware of my special needs. My new pack mate E.J. is going with me so I donít have to be scared. He will always go with me to the vet because we all go as a family. I will also start working with a professional obedience trainer the following week, who is also aware of my special needs, and ready for the challenge.
Thank you to the Peacocks, Levi and B.A.R.C. for giving me an opportunity to find a loving family and a home for the rest of my life. I look forward to coming to some of the events for B.A.R.C. in Jacksonville to show off all the new things I have learned.
Many boxer wiggles and boxer kisses,
B.O.L.O. and family
