Through August 31, 2008: Art Show Benefit at Hometown Coffeehouse: Hometown Coffee House at 215 West College Ave is hosting an art show to benefit BARC. Art work will be on display at Hometown Coffee House through the end of August and 30% of all sales will benefit the organization. The art show focuses on dog-related art. Drop by and check it out!

Sunday, August 17, 2008: Petco Informational Table: B.A.R.C. volunteers and foster boxers will be available to answer any questions you may have about our program from 11AM until 3PM on Sunday, August 17 at Petco's Fleming Island store located at 1999 Eastwest Parkway. Please stop by and say hello!

Saturday, September 20, 2008: Dogs Days in the Park: B.A.R.C. has been invited to participate in S.A.C.A.R.C.'s 2nd Annual Dog Days in the Park. The event will take place from 10AM until 5PM at Klutho Park in Jacksonville's Historic Springfield. Come join us for the music, fun, food and festivities!

Sunday, October 19, 2008: 4th Annual Halloween Costume Contest & Fundraiser: Friends of Paws Park, will be hosting the 4th Annual Halloween Costume Contest & Fundraiser for Paws Park Dog Park in Jacksonville Beach on Saturday, October 19th from 3PM to 6PM. The popular Halloween costume contest will be held for dogs and their owners with categories of: Most Original; Best Dog Owner; Funniest, Scariest and Best Group. There will also be a raffle with great people and dog prizes as well as a fabulous grand prize. There will be other fun activities for people and their dogs to enjoy such as: Canine Good Citizenship testing; fun photo area, vendors, non-profit and rescue groups with adoptable dogs; discounted microchipping and demos.
