Emmett
Emmett is a very energetic and playful young boxer. We would estimate he's about 1.5 years old. He spent the first day at his foster home playing for six hours with the other dogs and never wanted to quit! That isn't to say that he doesn't listen to spoken commands - because he does. He is very inquisitive to all that's around him, but is especially attentive to the humans in the house, even on walks (where he's very good on the leash - no pulling). However, his main interest is to play play play with other dogs (he does try to play with people too, but prefers any and all dogs). What we're getting at is that he really would be a great fit for a home with other dogs! We've started him on a very high-quality puppy food to try to get some more weight on him. He's totally healthy, we just believe he's so skinny because of all the exercise he loves so much. Emmett is a total lovebug with people and has done well with friends coming over to our house - but we are still working on his manners (he likes to use his front paws to greet you sometimes in true young boxer fashion). He's a real cutie with his underbite and side-tongue. When he tries to give kisses it's always from the side!
Emmett is crate trained, housebroken, and knows some basic commands. He is still very puppyish in nature and has a tendency to box and play rough. Because of this, he needs a home without small children that has the experience and the inclination to provide lots of structure. Could this be you? If you think so, please fill out an application to meet Emmett. He is being fostered by Dana.
Emmett has been sponsored by Brett Trevett of Jacksonville, FL in honor of Jan Trevett for Mother's Day. Boxer hugs and kisses to you on this special day! [Back]
