New Video! Jamie

Jamie is a trooper; those are the words that his foster parents use to describe him. You see, he has gone through more in his life than most dogs, first having his left back leg amputated while with his original owners, then being surrendered to BARC. He was adopted fairly quickly, but was returned to BARC when his new owner got a job, had to relocate and didn't want to take Jamie with her. Why? Because he was starting to lose the use of his back right leg.

Jamie has been to multiple vets and specialists while he has been back with us and unfortunately, none of the tests have yielded a diagnosis. Don't feel sorry for him though! He still has a good quality of life, is able to get around just fine and loves playing with other dogs.

Jamie is 8 years old and weighs 55 lbs.; he is housebroken, doesn't need a crate and is great with other dogs. He enjoys his walks (with a wheelchair) and loves a good massage! For more information about whether Jamie would be a good fit for your home, please complete our online adoption application. He is being fostered by Samantha and James in Gainesville, FL.
